While receiving my BA in Film and Digital Media from UC Santa Cruz, I worked on a variety of short films.
My senior thesis film is "The Rise and Fall of Starboy" (2025).
An aimless, adrift video store clerk jumps at the first opportunity to become someone new - a chance to transform, to step into the spotlight, to become a STAR™. As he immerses himself in the role of STARBOY, he loses a self that he didn’t even know existed.
Exploring themes of exclusion, visibility, and assimilation, “Starboy” embodies the absurdist yet normalized treatment that transgender and genderqueer people face on a daily basis. In the spotlight, mocked for our best attempts to fit in, but never truly seen as belonging.

My short film How To Do Laundry won Fan Favorite Independent Submission at the Winter 2024 SCTV Film Festival and screened at BASH (Bay Area & Sacramento Short Film Festival). Watch it below!
Living on their own for the first time, college student Blue deals with everything that comes with independence: unpacking boxes, transphobia, passing their classes, and worst of all - doing their laundry.
